Finn & Jakes Tees

Wow. How much would you love to wear these? They’re the work of Bones the Terrible, who writes on her Tumblr, “oh you know just messing around in photoshop making COOL FINN AND JAKE SHIRTS THAT ARE TOTALLY AWESOME!!! MATHEMATIC!! (THEYLL NEVER BE MADE BC I DONT HAVE THE RIGHTS TO IT! ALGEBRIAC!!)”

Top notch work there, Bones. They will complement nicely the shoes I’m stealing from Lumpy Space Princess.

Henry Rollins as Mannish Man

April 29th, 2010

Henry Rollins as Mannish Man from fredseibert on Vimeo.

I’ve been a big fan of voice artist Fred Tatasciore since he played the part of Mr Papier in Niki Yang’s “Victor” short. As usual, he nails it as Mannish Man in “The Enchirdion.” However, I was really fond of Henry Rollins’s original performance, too. Yes, that Henry Rollins was originally cast as MM. Although Henry’s track was ultimately replaced by Fred’s, we still hear him as the episode’s big Cookie Man (”Watch where you’re going!”). You can listen to a clip of Henry’s work in the above animatic, also with lines from Jeremy Shada and John Moschitto Jr.

You can view the finished product here.

And a blank version where you can draw your own face and add your own words to the speech bubble: http://intrepidspoon.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/adventure-time-finn-coobie-blank.pdf

I hope you add this one to your site! Thanks!”

Time for Some Adventure with Pendleton Ward

“Marceline the Vampire Queen” by Deviant Artist aiji

Thanks to AWN’s Rick DeMott for his rhombus new interview with Pen. Rick’s been a big supporter of Adventure Time since the short was first put online back in 1822, and, for that, he gets no cash but a big thumbs-up.

RD: As a young creator how has the process been for you? What were some of the more difficult parts of the process you had to get accustomed to?

PW: I’m playing a lot of it by ear. I learned a lot as I went, in the beginning. Craig [McCracken] and Genndy [Tartakovsky] and those dudes where all pretty young too when they were all starting out. You just have to roll into it. We all graduated and we all love animation so you have your ideal in mind of the product you want make.

Because I worked as a board artist on Flapjack for a year I understood the [Read more…]
