… probably. Cartoon Network is kicking off the second season on October 11 with the episode “Nightosphere”, cutting it kind of close since the cartoon isn’t finished, yet. (Me, I’d prefer we stock up on a few episodes before jumping into season two, but it ain’t my network.) In any event, here’s a half-minute from the animatic. It’s a Marceline episode, so Olivia Olson is back, along with Jeremy Shada as Finn and Tom Kenny voicing the Fluffy Person. I’ll mention this again over the next few days, but if you’ve got little brothers or sisters you might want throw them outside for this pretty frightening eleven minutes; it’s made me sleep with the lights on.

If you saw “Witch’s Garden” last night (if you didn’t see the episode, throw your computer out the window now because there’s a spoiler coming up), you watched the evil witch film Jake dancing around with flowers in his underwear, for what she claimed was her newsletter. What you didn’t see, however, was the tag showing the result, as the final scene, just a couple of seconds, was cut after the animatic stage. Watch it, now, above.

I’ve been a big fan of voice artist Fred Tatasciore since he played the part of Mr Papier in Niki Yang’s “Victor” short. As usual, he nails it as Mannish Man in “The Enchirdion.” However, I was really fond of Henry Rollins’s original performance, too. Yes, that Henry Rollins was originally cast as MM. Although Henry’s track was ultimately replaced by Fred’s, we still hear him as the episode’s big Cookie Man (”Watch where you’re going!”). You can listen to a clip of Henry’s work in the above animatic, also with lines from Jeremy Shada and John Moschitto Jr.
