Danielle’s “Fry Song” Cover

November 1st, 2010

Hey, remember Danielle’s ukey take on the Adventure Time theme song (see it here on YouTube; she disabled the embedding on our May post for some reason)? Well, she’s gone and recorded herself singing Rebecca’s “Fry Song.” Watch it above.

“Fry Song”

October 13th, 2010

Now, I'm Gonna Sing Somethin' Really Personal...

Thanks to composer Casey Basichis who sent over this mp3 of Marceline’s “Fry Song” from “It Came from the Nightosphere.” That’s Olivia Olson singing with the beatbox skillz of Jeremy Shada. And don’t forget Rebecca Sugar’s recording of how the tune began.

The Original Nightosphere Song by Rebecca Sugar

October 12th, 2010

Hope everyone enjoyed the SEASON 2 premiere of Adventure Time last night! “NightOsphere” is definitely one of my favorites, especially that Marceline song (written by storyboard artist, comic artist, & animator Rebecca Sugar). Would you be interested in listening to Rebecca’s original version of the song? Click on the image above to listen & download!

On another note, I apologize for the delays, but more “From The Trenches of Adventure Time” coming very soon!

Manlerette Party Song

September 30th, 2010

Err... I Mean A Manlerette Party

So many fans love the music on Adventure Time. And while we can’t help out those of you who have asked about a soundtrack CD (not in the works, as far as we know), we can post this often-requested track from “When Wedding Bells Thaw.” The show’s composer, Casey Basichis, wrote this: “That was my buddy Tim Kiefer’s track, he is officially working with me this season. We’ve been working together for ten years, he’s a brilliant musician.” So, thanks, Tim. And thanks, Casey.

Danielle Scores Big with Adventure Time Theme

May 18th, 2010

Danielle delivers an awesome rendition of the show’s theme song on ukulele. She even added her own lyrics, below. I don’t remember what I was doing in 10th grade, but it’s a safe bet it wasn’t this cool.

Adventure Time,
Cmon Let’s go!
What time is it?
Time to start the show!

Grab your friends,
Jake and Finn,
With all of us,
The fun beings.

And like a rhombus,
Cuz we fight evil,

Da, da, da, da, da, da, da da daaa
Adventure Time
Da, da, da, da, da, da, da da daaa

Ice King tryna take Bubbluegum away.
Oh no! Finn, save the day!
Lumpy Princess, yeah LSP.
Into Lumpy Space,
Just don’t turn lumpy !

Da, da, da, da, da, da, da da daaa
Adventure Time
Da, da, da, da, da, da, da da daaa

Your gut says he’s evil,
My gut says he’s good,
So let’s put our guts together,
And end this funky feud!

Da, da, da, da, da, da, da da daaa
Adventure Time
Da, da, da, da, da, da, da [Read more…]

Behind the Scenes with Casey James Basichis

May 4th, 2010

The reaction to posting Casey James Basichis’s score to the Jiggler a couple of weeks back was such a hit, Casey went ahead and put together an eight minute video of his inspiration and work behind composing the “Ricardio the Heart Guy” track. You can watch that above.

In addition, by clicking here, you’ll get to listen to the episode’s whole score. A special nod goes to “opera singer extraordinaire” Karen Vuong. Her soprano voice pops up in a bunch of episodes, making the music on Adventure Time that much more distinctive. Also, a big thanks to Sonopod, who mastered this episode for your downloading pleasure.

Thanks, Casey.
