Tom Herpich’s drawing promoting tonight’s episode, “Her Parents,” storyboarded by him and Ako Castuera. Says Tom:
Guest starring Henry Rollins and Laura Silverman as Lady Rainicorn’s parents, Bob and Ethel (if I remember right…) I can now say that Henry Rollins sang a song I wrote, but it’s the shortest dumbest song ever written, so, y’know. But still. Anyway, I woulda tried harder, but I thought originally it was gonna be sung in Korean, but then it wasn’t.
“Her Parents” debuts tonight at 8:00 p.m.

Some rough character designs from “Ricardio the Heart Guy” by Tom Herpich and Phil Rynda. That orange/brown cube you see means there are design notes for the artists.
We’ll be blogging some humbling color versions of “Prisoners of Love” characters and “Enchiridion” backgrounds before you know it, but, to hold you over till then, here’s some more of Tom Herpich and Phil Rynda’s character work from “Evicted!”
Not only are they responsible for Adventure Time’s character designs, but Phil, Tom, and Natasha have got to come up with the show’s props, from castle cracks to rain puddles. I know I’m being lazy by posting so many here (just a share of the episode’s total), but it’s Friday.
Character art from Phil Rynda, Natasha Allegri, and Tom Herpich. Turnarounds are generally utilitarian, but these make me laugh.
