While the premiere of Fanboy and Chum Chum is still a long ways away, that doesn’t stop the already legions of fans asking us where the characters will sit in relation to one another in Mr Mufflin’s class. Luckily, we have this seating chart to answer all your desk-positioning questions.

I really wanted to keep this artwork secret but it’s just too cool. Next New Network animator Ben Ross is a master of the feaux-8 Bit look and I asked him to create a retro Meth Minute episode. That’s all I’ll say for now. Check out these MM39 characters in video game form!

Today we thought we’d give you a glimpse into how a cartoon is made with Van Beuren’s 1930 classic Makin’ Em Move. (aka: In A Cartoon Studio).

This was directed by Harry Bailey and John Foster and features a cast of Animating Animals.

Exactly, like making a cartoon in real life.

Ok, maybe you wanted better toys…

Matte Plastic

Yeah, they did make toys for this movie. I know the figure of Sting in metallic blue underpants is one of my best friend’s prized figures in her collection. But maybe you wanted better ones, maybe you wanted a full scaled Sandworm to wreak havoc on your figures? Well, throw a little imagination out there and a whole lot of building block and you can build your own set - just like this intrepid toybuilder HERE! Just goes to show you, you can build darn near anything with LEGO’s! All it takes is a little imagination and side of insanity!
And if you’re not a clever builder, or have access to a truckload of LEGO’s, then just enlist the help of a furry friend and a sock!

Now go dump those LEGO’s on the floor and start your Neverending Story figure set!

Cheeta turns 76

Channel Frederator Blog

March 30th, 2008

cheetacp2803_468x312.jpg

The Daily Mail is reporting that “Tarzan” co star Cheeta has turned 76.

Cheeta, who is 4ft and 10st 2lb, was “discovered” as a newborn by an animal trainer on a trip to Africa in April 1932.

He appeared soon afterwards alongside Weissmuller in Tarzan And His Mate, and went on to star in a dozen films about the jungle hero who swung from tree to tree.

Cheeta, also known as Jiggs, appeared in 50 movies before his final appearance, as Chee-Chee in 1967’s Doctor Dolittle.

While this may not be animation related per se, there are so many animated characters, projects, shows, and films that borrow from Tarzan, I thought it was noteworthy.

Imagine if you took “The Avengers” and “Muppet Babies”, threw them in a blender, and then poured that onto a DVD.
