From Bronk and Bongo. Bongo can never pass up a cup of coffee — not that he needs the perking up.

This seems like a good time to introduce ourselves to anyone who isn’t a co-worker or personal well-wisher. Bronk and Bongo Barkstory

Manny and Alan did this piece for the pitch book we never got to pitch — we already had the script and storyboard. (And then there’s Frederator’s anti-pitchbook policy.) Keen-eyed fans will notice that Bronk (the little red guy) was originally more sweet-faced in this early version, which evolved as his attitude became less goofy. And Bongo (the bigger, other guy) grew a longer snoot after this was drawn. They still share a set of clothes between them — Bronk gets the vest, Bongo the trousers. Bloggingly yours, Manny and Alan.
