Dinner with the Cast
So after my excruciatingly delayed plane ride in to LAX, Alan and I got together with the cast to grab a bite to eat and go over the script and answer any questions they might have the night before the voice record. I can’t remember when I’ve hung around a better bunch of guys. We gossiped about Hollywood. Who knew there was such a seamy underbelly to tinsel town? We reminisced about Abbott and Costello. We talked about our bad backs and torn knee joints. We smelled Root Beer scented candles and ate burgers with slices of Cranberry gelatin discs on top. We laughed. We cried. We laughed again. We got the bill. We cried again.
Above you see Joel McCrary telling Adam Busch to pull his finger and that for some reason Steve Purnick would fart. That’s how good the chemistry is between these guys. One gets kicked in the junk and the other one feels it!
After the meal and the gaseous blue flame incident what major celebrity did we run into? Why none other than JIMMY NEUTRON! He seems to have put on a little weight and was carrying the biggest burger I have ever seen, but he was gracious enough to let us all get a picture with him. He’s far taller than you’d expect for a ten year old.

You know, I just had a thought, when this cartoon is over are you guys going to keep posting? I think your posts are hysterical. I mean, I originally started cruising this site to learn about the animation development process but, this has become more like Alan and Manny’s Excellent Adventure. You guys must be a barrel of laughs to hang out with.

I think I need to reiterate, I’m not that John Davis. I sure as hell don’t have a bank account reflecting the creation of any major animated character. And in fact I can’t draw worth spit.
