Bronk & Bongo

Nickelodeon Studios, finally!

June 9th, 2006

Finally after a year of pounding away on BRONK and BONGO Alan and I finally got to meet the Gary Conrad in person. I was shocked to discover he wasn’t a 2 foot tall Nigerian pigmy as I was lead to believe!

It’s nice to finally attach a face to the humorous voice and e-mails. After finally cornering him and leaving him with no visible ways of escape, he relented his futile attempts at ignoring us and we sat down and talked about everything from BLOOMING ONIONS™ to Jock straps. After 7 hours of that we thought, maybe we should talk about the cartoon. Here you see Alan discussing exactly how Bongo would react when covered with caramel and set on fire, which isn’t in the cartoon but is a running theme with Alan. Gary’s only response was to do his head scratching chimp impression.

Then things got heated over the exact style of lingerie Bronk would be wearing and sadly it lead to fisticuffs. Alan’s first response to everything is a sock to the jaw. “Good morning Alan.” POW! “You look nice today Alan.” POW! “Please don’t sock me in the jaw Alan.” POW! POW! You get 2 if you say that. It was horrible, the studio was trashed and in retrospect I shouldn’t have been cheering them on while eating popcorn.

After a few minutes of struggling though it all turned into an apologetic slow dance with some brief lip locking. That’s showbiz!

After a quick lunch it was off to the voice record! More on that in the next post!

Haha very cool! Nice office btw. Guys, now how far are you into your show being done? Last i heard you were still doing it frame by frame with stolen paper from Fred’s… -Steve

You guys are the best dressed animator/creators I’ve ever seen. Alan is always in a suit.

HA! HA! HA! You guys are too much. You guys should right a book.

And posting so quickly now too. Give me a chance to read

I feel like we are getting a glimpse into your secret journal guys. I love it. I’m getting used to your daily posts. It’s nice to start the day with a chuckle.

My jaw still hurts from the last time I saw Alan. In America it’s customary to shake hands or say hello. Tell him my lawyer will be in touch.

Yes, Alan is violent. Take it from me, I’ve slow danced with him.

“Malan and Alanny”, a good concept for another show.
