ANIMATIC is in the HOUSE
Sorry for the diminishing number of posts recently, darn life keeps getting in the way of what really matters,like Blogging, Naked River dancing and polishing my collection of Clara Peller 8×10’s.
Anyway our animatic was finally cut this week and as Alan and I looked this over he made several comments like “Wow the characters sure are stiff.” and “Don’t you find the color a little dull and non existent?” and “This sucks!”. To which I just looked at him curiously and brought my index finger up to my head and twirled it in a circular motion as if to say that he’s crazy. I soon realized that only Alan was in the room and he didn’t appreciate this gesture as much as I did. He just kind of frowned, indignantly.
I guess most people don’t know what an animatic is so after looking it up myself I discovered that a animatic in short is just the storyboard cut and timed to the raw audio. No sound effects or music is dropped in at this point. It’s really just to see how the scenes and gags are timing out. Timing as you all know, is the essence of comedy. Oh yeah, and funny jokes help too I guess.

Well, well , well if it isn’t my favorite blogging guys! So you finished the animatic huh? That’s great! Sorry Alan didn’t like it too much but animatics are like that. They’re a stark image of the film but in my opinion that’s a good thing because this is as bad as your film will ever look. It’s all uphill from here!

Talk to you soon guys! oh, when the animation comes back, can you upload the tests of this exact section of the animatic? just so its like a before and after kinda thing…thatd be cool! the patient sounds like ray romano! i need to check the blog history for a voice talent check. How is everything else going with Bronk and Bongo?? Any new art??? i miss the art..are backgrounds being painted as we speak??

Hello all fanatics and tooner visioneers and I love what you do. I am trying to get in touch with someone (Alan) about an Idea I have. I was sitting with my 4 yr old daughter watching Noggin and she said Daddy why don’t you do a show with March Fourth, Wow she is a genious. I am in a very animated band called March Fourth Marching Band that is becoming quite a force. With this there are amazing opportunities for a show that deals with music, social issues, and going into the future alive and kicking.
