Well, it is in Call Me Bessie’s universe. Take a look at one of Andy Clark’s colored backgrounds. He has done a fantastic job developing a creative, energetic, bright world for Bessie et al to do their thang.

You can take off your rose colored glasses cuz there’s more where this came from…stay tuned. In the meantime, let’s give it up for Andy!!!!!

Go Andy, go Andy, go Andy…

Get a Load of the Mouth on this Guy!

October 23rd, 2005

Last week, we received the mouth charts designed by the talented Larry Leichliter (thanks Larry). We are still making a few tweaks, but he looks good, huh?!

In fact, Al has asked me to let all the single ladies out there know that he is available and looking. Knowledge of Karate and a penchant for barbed wire a plus!

All requests can be entered here (his Match.com profile is still being written — handle is IsolationistLooking4Love).

The Moment You Have Been Waiting For…

October 12th, 2005

Nooooo, it’s not time to announce the winner of the mystery prop game (although that’s coming)….

Nope, we’re not gonna show you photos of young Fred losing his shorts to the neighbor’s dog (yet)…

Nada, definitely not time to see home movies of Diane and Dana dressed as cows for Halloween (although for the right price, we could be persuaded)…

IT’S TIME TO WITNESS BESSIE, AL, AND SENOR SWAMPY in action in a piece of their very first animatic (again for those of you who are new to animation, that’s when we put the scanned storyboard and the voice track together so we could make sure the timing is on target, among other things).

Hope you like it!

(For those of you who would like to recommend changes, hum a few bars of your favorite Duran Duran song and the urge will pass.)

There goes Al and Bessie skipping merrily down the street (insert imagination here). Wellll, maybe that’s not exactly how it happens…Bessie is sooo excited by the notion of going scuba diving that she drags poor Al over hill and dale to get there before he changes his mind.

He’s such a good sport-or is he???

Shhhhhh…

Senor Swampy doesn’t like anyone to go near his precious scuba school when he isn’t there, but we thought you’d like to take a peak.

And if you are diggin’ Diane and Kenny’s style, you’re gonna love it in color.

Stay tuned…
