Call Me Bessie!

Our First Fan Art!

January 5th, 2006

Go Mike Guillen! We love Mike not only for his riveting personality and astonishing good looks, but also for submitting our first piece of fan art AND for really “getting” our characters.

As you can see in his image, Bessie worked her little cowrearend off decorating her trailor for the holidays. Now if we could only get her to decorate BEFORE KwanikuhChristmas instead of AFTER, we’d be in good shape! Al , on the other hand, didn’t do anything..he was inside brooding because he couldn’t finish his moat before the snowstorm…

That’s okay, there’s always next year. You know, during the season finale. You see Call Me Bessie! will go to series because of all our fabulous fans keep blogging about how much they love our characters…until Nickelodeon just HAS to pick it up.

Are you picking up any clues here?!

Happy New Year!

Great job on the fan art, Mike. Keep it up and we’ll have to find something else for Dana and Diane to do.

Beautiful job Mike! Ah, the endless possibilities for Bessie and Al!!!

Happy New Year wishes to all their friends and fans!

Wow, great job Mike. What do you do for a living? It looks like you could definitely work at Frederator. Hey Dana and Diane hope you are doing well. Keep up the great work. Best wishes to the both of you in the New Year. I hope Nick picks Bessie up.

Mike thats really something else! It looks as if it wasnt fan art, but would be used for the actual cartoon!

GO KRUDNUT COUGAR!!! The show’s artwork looks awesome! It’s also very surreal to see your quirky and creative sense of humor displayed so slickly. I knew when you broke out of that office we shared it was only so you could go on to do something hella wicked like this. Much kudos also to the artists that worked on the show–the right people were picked to make this happen. Keep up the great work and give a holler at Bucky!!

I Love Bessie. I can’t wait until it’s a National Show and I can buy my own Bessie action figure and Bessie pillowcase.

Yay Cows!

My first fan was named Art, too.

Keep up the good work. Wish the best of luck to all concerned.

I know this show will go to a series. Just reading the blog keeps me in suspense. The artwork is Great & so is the annimation & story.

This looks awesome, nice work!

Love the artwork! So glad Bessie and Al enjoyed the holiday season - in their own special ways. Looking forward to the full length movie!

I like the pictures because they make me smile. Please make more.

I LOVE Bessie’s holiday decoration!!! Such cheer, such color, such expression - suitable for any religious denomination, AND for the kid at heart!! What an eye Bessie’s got! ;-) Keep up the great work, guys!!

Most “Call Me Bessie” fans may not realize that CMB represents in microcosm the complex duality of human nature: the sullen, fatalism of Albert as counterpoint to Bessie’s optimism and joie de vivre. This is the eternal conflict of man with himself: the need for self-preservation vs. the drive to explore new vistas and answer the eternal questions of the true meaning of of being huma. I see the raw material in CMB is staggering, almost Homeric in it’s potential…with implications for a radically new perspective on life, love and friendship.

My favorite character, though, is Senior Swampy. Go Double D’s!
