Hey! Are Those Cartoons Over There?
I’ll be honest. I’ve always done the work of ten men around here. Ten men who work really hard. Now, with the launch of Channel Frederator, you can notch that up to twelve men (and a mule). So I’m asking for your help. We’ve been looking for great cartoon shorts to put in future Channel Frederator episodes. The response we’ve been getting from filmmakers eager to take part has been overwhelming (literally), but you can never know of enough cool shorts. To that end, if you know of any cartoons out there that’d make a great addition to Channel Frederator, please drop us an email at hey@frederator.kz. Or just add a comment to this post. We love seeing new films and we love getting to know new filmmakers. So you’d being doing us a favor (and allowing me to work as hard as just ten men again). Thanks. — Eric

Are you seeking the same type of content for both “Oh Yeah” and “Channel Fred”?

Very, very different content, actually. For OY!, we’re looking for character-driven, funny cartoons for 6 - 11 year-olds. Our production partner / buyer is Nickelodeon, so you’ve got to be able to play in their ballpark. Obviously, a lot of the programming on Cartoon Network also fits the OY! bill. For Channel Frederator, on the other hand, our scope is much broader. I think comedy stills rules for CF, but it’s not essential. A story is good, but we’ll still throw in eye candy. Films can be fifteen seconds, fifteen minutes, for 6-year-olds or college kids. Dialog, no dialog, or all music. We won’t shy away from blue language or blatant advertising. Any animated medium is fine with us. We don’t mind a viewer afterwards scratching his head and asking “What the hell was that?!?” The best to way to see the wide range of what we’ll use is to go to iTunes or http://www.channelfrederator.com, download the episodes, and see for yourself. Thanks, CIM.

Brian Fisk has a bunch of nice animations that would be perfect I think. “We are Robots” in particular.

Lots of funny stuff here. I went immediately to “Drunk Uncle”. What’s that say about me? Thanks, Fitzillo.

I love political stuff. As long as it reflects my opinions.
