Indie Animation In NYC Wednesday

If I were in New York City this Wednesday night, October 11, I’d make sure I’d be at the Bryant Park Hotel’s screening room at 7:00 PM. Showing at that time will be a “program of short animated films about love, reproduction, marriage, friendship, and family”. Filmmakers attending will be Pat Smith, (Random! Cartoons creator) Bill Plympton, Sean McBride, and our good friend, Signe Baumane, who tipped us off to this event. For more info on the Tribeca Underground Film Festival, of which this deal is a part, go here.

P.S. I failed in finding an image from Signe’s film, “Birth”, excerpts of which will be shown Wednesday, so I opted for this photo of Pat Smith, Signe, and Drawn!’s Ward Jenkins, good egg and keeper of the Ward-O-Matic.

So how does this thing work? I’ve been stuck in NY for five months, unable to visit our LA productions. Now, I get to travel West this week and have to miss this?!
