November 12th, 2006

It’s Sunday, so we’re going to look at religous animation once again. Today we’re looking at “Cherub Wings”.

From the “Cherub Wings” website:

What is Cherub Wings?

Using a combination of colorful computer graphics animation and live-action, Cherub Wings is an entertaining and inspirational production geared for young children 8 and under. Motivated by his endearing love for little children, Cherub Wings, a spirited full-of-life angel, is commissioned by God to present a variety show that will help kids grow in faith. The result is a celestial array of songs, storytelling, and object lessons that teaches as well as entertains. Each episode includes a visualized prayers, an illustrated Bible story, two to three high concept kid music videos, a Scripture memory song, stories, and loads of fun! Recommended for ages 8 and under, Cherub Wings is also enjoyed by people of all ages!

Outside of the official website for the series, I couldn’t find too much information about this project. I was unable to find out who animated on this show, where production was done, etc.

If you have any information on this series, please be sure to post it in the comments section.

UPDATE: I requested some more information on this series, and this is the response I got:

Cherub Wings is produced by Sunny-Side Up Entertainment.
There are currently 13 episodes in English, Spanish, Portuguese,
Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Italian and is viewed in many countries
around the globe. The series offers a combination of 3D animation and some After-FX with live action songs included. It is multi-cultural and has been produced with the international community in mind. It is not church-based but rather brings awareness of God into everyday situations.
