Audio Interview: Composer Kevin Manthei
If you’ve ever seen (or more importantly heard) the Nickelodeon series Invader Zim, then you are familiar with the work of Kevin Manthei.
You can listen to my interview with Kevin by clicking HERE. It’s an MP3 file (about 23 minutes long).
In the interview, Kevin talks about his workflow, his favorite types of projects, and has some suggestions for people who may want to pursue music for animation as a career.
Enjoy!

What programs does Kevin use to score? I always wanted to get into making my own music.

Kevin’s great! I worked with him on Xiaolin Showdown and if you listen to just the music you’ll be surprised how many layers he fits into a “cartoon” score. A great talent!
