NYC’s Animation Block Party is now open for worldwide submissions. Therewill be almost $30,000 worth of prizes up for grabs at ABP Summerfest, including winning filmmaker copies of Adobe After Effects, Boinx I-Stop Motion, Toon Boom Studio, Autodesk’s Sketchbook, designer bags from Crumpler, subscriptions from Animation Magazine and big student production grants.

All genres are welcome to submit, ranging from stop motion to experimental, ABP loves it all. There are ten award categories, including original design, computer animation, narrative short, under minute movie, personal documentary and more. ABP is also offering an opportunity to fund animators Public Service Announcement films for the entire festival season.

This year’s summer festival will run from July 28-30 all over Brooklyn, NY.
