The Pratt Animation Show.
Life being what it is, I’ve had a tough time getting to student animation shows recently. But with our crack interns Lee Rubenstein* and Katie Cropper featured in Pratt Institute’s 2007 show how could I skip out?! It was a great show featuring the real stars of tomorrow, and if any of you are in New York tomorrow (Saturday) you might want to stop by the free showing at the Two Boots on the Lower East Side. Congratulations to all the filmmakers, you’re off to a great start.
And to my great amazement I got to see Bill Plympton hanging at the show with our old friend director John Payson in town from his home in London.
I thought you might enjoy seeing the show’s program:![]()
* Some of you know that Lee has gone past his internship with us, while getting himself ready to graduate, with not only our great postcards, but as the proud co-supervising director/producer of one of Frederator Studios‘ two films in the Platform Animation Festival.
One of the fun surprises of tonight’s show was a film done by Lee he’d never shown me. Here’s the “Joy of Shaving”:

I was there, and it was fun, very fun. Lee rocks and we should never let him leave.
