Shrek in the New Yorker!?

June 1st, 2007

Ok, the article is nothing new. In fact, if nothing else, it illustrates how the average sub-par Cartoon Feature can make headlines in the upper-crust rag like the New Yorker. Long live animation, R.I.P. the New Yorker.

…great pic by Pablo Lobato, tho.

Wow, the design in this illustration outshines anything Shrek has had to offer so far.

The New Yorker isn’t completely dead- the article is very intelligent, but still reiterates mostly information that we are all too aware of already. Curiously, it also mentions Paprika, which is leaps and bounds better than Shrek, and also mahages to connect it with an underlining theme of businesses winning over audiences.

Okay, Fiona does NOT look like Miss Piggy!

Miss Piggy should sue! (Seriously. She is not ugly/cute. She is sexy/glamorous!)
