Cartoon All-Stars!
In 1990, this writer was tuning in to his Saturday Morning Cartoons, flipping between ABC, CBS and NBC. Then, all of a sudden, the president and first lady appeared on all 3 channels simultaneously, endorsing this cartoon that featured the top characters from all three rival networks interracting!
Though not all the characters are as prennial as Bugs Bunny or Winnie the Pooh, this was an historical moment that is worth reliving.
As featured in ASIFA-Hollywood’s “Cartoon” Magazine, here’s “Cartoon All-stars to the Rescue.”

Bugs Bunny. Muppet Babies. Smurfs. and frickin’ Garfield.
That and numerous other characters appearing togther!
I’ve seen a lot of cartoons from all over the stinkin’ world, but THIS people, is the most awesome cartoon crossover EVER.
Second to Who Framed Roger Rabbit, of course.

So basically… if you do drugs, you’ll get lectured by all your favorite cartoon characters?
I remember this when I was a kid… It was silly then and it’s silly now.

It’s a musical, really, a children’s health endorsement against drugs. I remember seeing this when it was on tv at the time, and remember it being a bit nightmarish, due to the odd mix of characters.

This video cracks me up! I’m glad you brought this up. Not too many people remember this. I do find it funny the Mickey is not it. The character Smoke voiced by George C. Scott is great.
