Recycled Animation
I received this piece of sheer absurdity from my friend, and fellow artist, Brianne Drouhard.
It intrigues me, frightens me a little bit. But the fright just gives way to confusion and complacency. Calmness.
Recycling old ideas is nothing new, as far as Hollywood is concerned. Look at the recent things bubbling up from the underbelly of Hollywood lately: Transformers, Underdog, Garfield, Alvin & the Chipmunks?!?!
Hollywood wheezes, “Everything Old is New again.”
The Japanese have always done things better, cooler, and with more style than us.
Take the fact that they took the Powerpuff Girls and powered out the puff from them by making them highschool kids, mildly sexy (?), with good design sense and fun animation. ![]()
You have to admit, that this mish mash of Batman Power Ranger Turtles is kinda cool in it’s weirdness.![]()
That’s just my 2 cents.

Maybe if more animation was allowed to be done in the states, you could see what we’re really capable of here. With nearly every animated show on tv being shipped off to someplace else, it’s hardly a fair comparison.

Once again, Brianne proves she is Queen of You Tube digging.

I’ve seen most of PPGZ and it’s a fun show to watch, but I enjoyed the original PPG episodes a lot more because the humour was so much better.
Maybe subtitles just don’t convey Japanese humour?
Here’s a video link to the ending credits of the first season, without the credits!
