Return of the Fredmas: Episode 111

December 18th, 2007

Can you smell it? The Holiday Spirit in the air? Sumo wrestlers dressed as Santa? Mechanized reindeer with light-bulb noses blinking like air traffic control towers? Or how about a gigantic Frosty the Snowman made out of radioactive snow stomping amidst tall buildings spreading joy and snowflake smiles?
Yup, you guessed it. If you felt any of these things, and perhaps slight heartburn, you indeed felt the magic of the Fredmas.
We all know that sumo wrestlers dressed as Santa are squishy, and that you should NOT touch radioactive snow, especially if it’s glowing green.

Have a safe and happy Fredmas viewing!
— Super Santa in “Naughty”, submitted by Mike Bell

Super Santa returns in yet another action packed holiday cartoon from creator Mike Bell.
It’s Ho Ho Ho time! Cue Action music.

— Christmas Night, submitted by Jim Tyer
Animation legend Jim Tyer was a rebel. He didn’t hold to models, he did quirky, eccentric actions, he didn’t stick to the mind numbing norms of traditional animation. His animation was weird, inventive, and always funny. We’re proud to showcase Jim’s 1933 short, Christmas Night.

This Thursday on The Meth Minute 39, Seasons Greetings from the Meth Minute 39.

Cool things We’ve been Eyeing on the Web Lately:

Walt Disney’s Prodigal Son, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, makes his triumphant return to the Disney Studios and fans alike in the form of those amazing Walt Disney Treasures Box Sets. This is one xmas gift I bought myself early, and between you and me, is well worth it.

If anyone out there is interested in getting fans of MAD Magazine a present, this would be the ultimate. The Completely MAD Don Martin (MAD’s Greatest Artist Series) Box Set.
Don Martin is one of my favorite MAD artists EVER, and this amazing collection proves it. I bet if someone gave this to me it would be covered in drool.
