Remember Last Year’s Categories and Winners? #3
We wanted to spend the next couple of days recapping last year’s Channel Frederator Award Categories along with their films and winners.
Here is the Third Batch!
There’s no need to question Why the F*ck we chose to give Tim Farrell and his film WTF?! (What The F*ck) the Cartoon Most Likely to be Censored by the FCC Award.
Amanda Spalinki’s film about a little winking dog named Skippy really warmed our cute bones up. We gave it the So Cute It Hurts Award!
Blur Studios’ film Rockfish was pretty epic. In all senses of the word. It got Largest File Size Award.
Ed Skudder took the Joe Robot Award, an award for filmmakers who make the best use of a robot in their film, for his flick, The New Guy.
We gave David Karp, creator of Tumblr, mastermind behind the Frederator Blogs, and early innovator of Channel Frederator’s humble but huge beginnings, the VanGuard Award. Because he’s also good at guarding vans apparently.![]()
You know, I was in the running for last year’s Cartoonist of the Year Award, but lost to John Lasseter… whoever that guy is.
What did you think about them? We want to know!
