“Pushkin” animator and director Trevor Hardy chats with us about his work for 2009 and how he won over his wife in spite her protesting pet.
Channel Frederator: Whatcha been up to since we last spoke with you?
Trevor Hardy: I have been busy writing, animating, and directing some more one minute shorts for Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. called “Watermill Farm”. It is scheduled to air on Nick Jr. sometime in February.
CF: Can you tell us about any upcoming projects?
TH: As above really. I have been making sets and models for some short “back burner” projects I’m also working on.
CF: What do you want to try to accomplish in 2009?
TH: I really want to get Fool Hardy Films off the ground. I’m hoping “Watermill Farm” will be very popular with the Nick Jr. viewers and that they will want more and more of ‘em!
CF: Have you ever been betrayed by a pet?
TH: Well I haven’t been betrayed but I have been attacked. When I first started going out with my girlfriend (now wife) Denise, she had a big, fat cat called Archie. He had been used to having Denise all to himself, and when I used to sit next to Denise on the sofa he used to growl….
Once I made the mistake of holding her hand and he went crazy and scratched my hand. He died shortly before me and Denise started trying to have our first baby… just as well, he wouldn’t have been able to handle that sort of contact, bet he was growling and hissing in his grave though!
