You’ll know Zachary Lind, animator/director of “2 Scoops of Justice” on sight – underpants on the outside, sporting a Superman watch, strutting around the UCLA campus.

Okay, that’s a lie. Maybe.

Channel Frederator: Where are you studying animation?

Zachary Lind: I am studying at the UCLA Animation Workshop.

CF: What artists have influenced your work the most?

ZL: Stephen Silver for his great design work, Brad Bird for his shear joy of the form that comes through all of his projects, and Robert Rodriguez for just being inventive with so many hats.

CF: What is your favorite animation?

ZL: Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.

CF: Do you have any upcoming projects you can tell us about?

ZL: Yes. I am in my third and final year at the program and I am in preproduction on my thesis film, ‘‘Men are Dogs!” … Early title but it is a 2D and live action hybrid about a first date gone horribly wrong.

CF: What do you wear when you want to feel ‘‘super”?

ZL: Of course, underwear on the outside. If that seems inappropriate to my wife, I have my Superman watch she bought me that I talk to like Dick Tracy.

Thanks, Zach!
