“Wild Wind” with Leo Campasso
Argentinean animator Leo Campasso’s “Wild Wind” is a neat animated throwback to the pixelated 8-bit goodness of the 80’s.
Channel Frederator: Where did you study animation?
Leo Campasso: I studied animation in Argentina at the “Image Campus” Institute. I graduated this year.
CF: What gave you the idea for this film?
LC: One of these moments in the daily routine, my hair - it’s too bad!!!
CF: What drew you to the 8-bit style?
LC: Always loved that era, and I wanted to animate pixels in a traditional way.
CF: What are you working on next?
LC: I’m working on a video clip for “Viajeros”, a rock band from Argentina. This time, I´m trying to surprise with the style. I have the storyboard, animatic, designs, models in 3D, and I’m in the rigging stage.
CF: Any big plans for the holidays?
LC: Yes! relax with my friends in the Argentinean coast. This year I’ve worked too hard!
CF: Ever have a bad hair day?
LC: Yes! of course! It’s my karma.
Thanks for the interview, Leo! You can check out “Wild Wind” right here on Channel Frederator!
