This weeks Cartoon Hangover ‘toon “Bear-Horse” comes to us from Steve Stark. What is a Bear-Horse, you ask? It’s a half human, half horse with bear-like qualities. What is a Steve Stark, you ask? Read about one here!

Cartoon Hangover: Oh my goodness, “Bear-Horse”. Where did that idea come from?

Steve Stark: I saw a picture on the internet of a bear riding a horse. Immediately after starting singing “Bear-horse, Bear-Horse!” with a buddy. Soon after I did the concept picture that’s at the end of the short. Bear-Horse was born.

CH: What do you have against plants?!

SS: They’re just so smug….sitting there, all leafy. It makes me sick.

CH: Is this your first venture into stop motion?

SS: It is! I had this elaborate plan to test what I was doing with a webcam and then shoot with the camera. It didn’t work out. I just ended up winging it through the preview window of my camera. Plus working with puppet actors sucked the big one. Sometimes they could’nt lift their arms & their hands would melt off…

CH: Any cool plans for the holidays?

SS: I’m going to cry myself to sleep.

CH: Aw.

SS: Nah! Just kidding!

CH: Yay!

SS: I’m going home to see my awesome family. It’s gonna be the goods.

CH: What’s your favorite holiday drink?

SS: Eggnog. Hands down. It’s a double edged sword though…cause I’m lactose intolerant. So I just pour a glass & look at it.

CH: Favorite holiday swear?

SS: F*ck-mas!!
