Woo! Happy Friday, cartoon friends. Cartoon Hangover features Drinking and Drawing Miami: 2 this week - sponsored by Frederator and the Miami World Cinema Center. The event has actually inspired a lot of venues to approach me to do D and Ds at their event, but in allegiance to Fred and the venue (the News Lounge) I’ve stayed put with it. I have been generating other riffs off of the idea such as stop-mo go which would essentially be animation of people in front of a green screen acting crazy via a live capture technique. Our 200th episode is here!  It’s hard to believe we’re closing in on 4 years of Channel Frederator.  And to celebrate we’re shaking things up.  Episode 200 marks the debut of our one cartoon format, new host, and ongoing contest.  Anyone who is featured on our weekly Tuesday show from here on out receives $50.  At the end of the month, the animator with the most views in their debut week, wins $200.

But, why switch format?

With a one cartoon format, we can dote on each animator individually.  Which means shining a bigger spotlight on them.  And our viewers can do. For the first time, an audience can help reward an animator.  Like a cartoon?  Twitter it.  Facebook it.  At the end of the month, we’ll tally it up and reward the animator with the most views in their debut week.

He and The Robot tag team hosting duties for “Machu Picchu Post” and “The Land Eaters”, two fantastic, far out films. Let us know what you think of the new digs!

Take Me, submitted by Anton Bogaty – A grizzled boxer battles inner demons – and mobsters – in this music video for the Portland based band Weight of Atlas.

She Farted and Created the World, submitted by Scott Coello – Pretty self explanatory. A bit of puppy flatulence creates the universe. Featuring music by Son of Robot - the film’s animator/creator, Scott Coello!

Kid 606 – The Illness, submitted by Joel Trussell – Slick animated music vid by one of our favorite animators!

Channel Frederator Awards Announce Winners
First Network to Celebrate the Internet Where It Belongs - Online!
