Ghosts! Pigeons! Flip Bookery!

August 18th, 2009

This week’s episode is the best episode of all the episodes. I mean, I guess until the next episode, but for now, it’s probably the best. We’ve got three films that are stop-motionlicious (who isn’t a sucker for some super sweet stop-mo?) plus we want to hear about your favorite Hayao Miyazaki film, in honor of his new feature “Ponyo“.

“Pigeon Pilfer”, submitted by Michael Stevenson - Pigeons. They bug you for food, doodie on your car - now they want your money.

“Here Come the Guns” by Choo Choo La Rouge, submitted by Greg Condon - Cool stop motion music video by way of flip bookery. And also, there are guns.

The project will also publish a tie-in book and selected artwork will be exhibited at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco from September 20-December 7.

The auction is set for September 6 at the Pixar Animation Studio Campus from 5-9 PM. Tickets will go [Read more…]
