The first lesson of my free animation course just went live. The Cheap Ass Animation Class is designed to help peple learn animation for free. I love animation, and I enjoy talking about it whenever I can. This is just one more way I can talk about animation, while helping other people experience and create animation of their own.While the first class is pretty basic, it’s going to get a lot more involved from here. Hey everyone. Fred said he hoped I would stop by from time to time to check in, so that’s what I’m doing. This is what I made this weekend for the Aniboom History Challenge. I dusted off one of my characters from the Bishop Animation archives, made a cornfield and some fireworks, drank some beers, and animated my arse off.If you like what you see, please head over to the Aniboom website and give me a vote.

San Diego Comic Con 2009 starts tomorrow. There’s going to be a ton of stuff to see, and lots of great events, parties, and panels. Are you going? What are you looking forward to?

Here is the launch trailer for the Sony Online Entertainment game Free Realms. I have had a blast working on this game as a Senior Artist over the past year. I’ve worked on several games in the past, but this was my first MMO. Being able to help create a world, complete with entertaining characters, fun quests, and interesting stories has been a blast.

So what’s up with your posts? How come you’re not posting so often? Well, I’ve been sick.

I’ve been sick off and on since the beginning of 2009, but after several visits to the emergency room, the doctors finally figured out what my problem was and yanked my gall bladder. The surgery was nothing like the whiteboard drawing you see above.

Anyway, the point is, I’m feeling much better, and I’m getting back into posting more frequently. Posting on the blog is something I really enjoy, and as I get better, I hope to get back into daily posts again.

Free Realms has entered internal closed beta. Kotaku has the full story. I’m really proud of the look, feel, and overall quality of this game, and I can’t wait for everyone to be able to play it for themselves (but I have to).
