Happy Thanksgiving, Fredheads!
Happy Thanksgiving!
The first lesson of my free animation course just went live. The Cheap Ass Animation Class is designed to help peple learn animation for free. I love animation, and I enjoy talking about it whenever I can. This is just one more way I can talk about animation, while helping other people experience and create animation of their own. While the first class is pretty basic, it’s going to get a lot more involved from here. Keep watching!-Floyd
Here is my first short of the year The Ditching of 2008. My plan is to do one short a month for the year, for a total of 12. There is no plan for stories, no continuity, no set style, no nothing. I’ve got some ideas for next month’s short, but beyond that, it’s wide open.
Let me know what you think!
I did this video a while ago (last Halloween), but I really enjoy seeing these videos. If you’ve got one, let me know!
You might remember the Frederator Studios production tag we’re making for Fred. The first version was done before we got any input from Fred. After talking it through and watching it over and over, it’s clear that the robot doesn’t read as well as it could (it’s tiny in the large frame), and the big green “F” on the robot’s chest is hard to read at best.
For inspiration as to how you could handle such a task, we had to look no further than the 1950’s:
The production tag is much shorter than this intro piece, so we’ll have to have a lot happening fast. Keep watching to see what we come up with.
