Oh Yeah! Justin Simonich.
Justin Simonich works with our friend Dave Levy over at Cartoon Pizza in New York. He came by on Friday with his designer and storyboard artist Dagan Moriarty and pitched us a show for the 4th season of Oh Yeah! Cartoons. He calls is Bayou Acres.
Thanks to Justin for kind permission to post some of his show’s artwork.

Wow that link to David Levy happens to be the most depressing thing I’ve ever read concerning pitches. Talk about knocking the wind out your sail, Not saying there isnt some truth in there but Hey, why bother pitching to Fred.

So Doom, I appreciate the comment, but I’m confused. How does Dave’s article discourage you from pitching me. To date, over 100 filmmakers have successfully pitched and produced shorts, and a bunch of those have gone forward as series and movies. I’m genuinely curious, so I can try and help make things better.

Hello Doom,
Don’t be depressed or discouraged. The purpose of the article is to throw a little reality on the subject of pitching and how difficult it often is to break thru. Nothing worth achieving is ever easy. But, if we understand how the business side of the equation behaves than we can better navigate the waters. If your are serious about pitching, if it’s what you really, really want, then go for it! Nobody can stop you from creating and hustling your ideas out there. You just need a thick skin and comfortable shoes from the long journey (likely) ahead.
Good luck!
Dave Levy
