Ernie Gilbert wins the Annie!

February 5th, 2006

Ernie Gilbert won the well deserved 33rd Annual Annie Award for Character Design in Animated Television for the Nickelodeon/Frederator Studios production of Butch Hartman’s The Fairly Oddparents epsiode “The Good Old Days.” Which is nothing compared to the news that he and his wife delivered their fourth son last week. Congratulations to all the Gilberts.

Other big Frederator news: Annie Awards were won by alumni of our various shorts programs: Mike Bell, Seth MacFarlane, Craig McCraken, and Genndy Tartakovsky.

(Geez, we’ve stayed busy over the years.)

Congratulations Ernie on your award and new born child!!

Congratulations, Ernie, for an award well-deserved. Also, hats off to George Goodchild, Butch Hartman, and especially Dave Thomas as well as the rest of the FOP crew who worked on this extra-entertaining episode.

Congratulations, Ernie, for the recognition of your great work through this award. Best of luck and well wishes with your latest little addition!

Congrats to all nominees, winners and various Frederator alumni combinations of such!

Dis my desktop background now. Myes.

Congratulations Ernie! It’s well deserved. Your work is fabulous!

Ernie, many, many congratulations to ya! I don’t know if you remember me or not, but I am thrilled at your success, both personally and professionally, and love the show. If ya wanna get in touch, Rikki has my email address!

That’s terrific! I’m very proud of you. I already was, but you can’t put my pride on your mantle. Do you have a mantle? Oh no! If you don’t, what are you gonna’ do with your Annie!? Oh well, I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
Congratulations!
Love you.

Hooray, Ernie! I’m impressed–but not surprised. What a multi-talented guy you are. Will we still be able to get together and play ukulele? Or perhaps there’ll be too many paparazzi around…

Dude, you are the Man.

When you married my daughter I thought I might see you on stage as an actor or singer, but I’m delighted that you got to THIS stage in your life - truly a recognition of your wonderful creativity and talent. You also picked a perfect wife, Cathy, if I may say so, who became the mother of another beautiful Gilbert boy (the fourth!) just days before Annie arrived! Don’t forget to pick up some Pampers on your way home from the studio, OK?
