As I was entering middle school when Animaniacs premiered and high school when Pinky premiered, I’ll say these cartoons were the last of the “kiddie” cartoons that I watched religiously. You know - running home to grab a snack and plop your butt in front of the TV. Kudos to all who worked on it. Even the bad ones were pretty good.

…Funny you mention WB PR’s Nick. He contacted me, too, but too late to give me free stuff. Rrrr.

HEY MIKE MILO; YEAH, REMEMBER THOSE DAYS?
gANG; ANIMANIACS WAS THE FIRST ANIMATED TV PRODUCTION I EVER WORKED ON FULL TIME. (BESIDES REN AND STIMPY FREELANCE IN SEASONS ONE AND TWO)
I STARTED AS A STORYBOARD ARTIST. BOARDING WAS DIFFICULT ON THIS SERIES, ESPECIALLY THE WAKKO, YAKKO AND DOT EPISODES, BECAUSE THERE WERE ALWAYS SO MANY CHARACTERS ALL THE TIME! MAN! WHAT A MIND-BLOWER. THIS SERIES WAS A LOT OF FUN AND I HAD A CHANCE TO MEET SO MANY GREAT ARTISTS LIKE MIKE MILO, EDDIE FITZGERALD, AND SCORES OF OTHERS.
WHAT A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE FOR ME TOO!

PnB is extremely well written. One ep. relates to the influence of the media on the masses circa and specific to the invention of the Guttenburg press. The boys/meeses distributed playboy-like sports collectors cards with “subversive” history blurbs on them!!! The horrified gasps from the crowds, enraged, frightened villagers trying to torch the “monster” (which as it turned out was the written word). Clever!!!!!!

I have to say, I only marginally liked them and I directed on them. They were for the most part poorly animated and although they had distinct character, I guess I just didn’t LIKE the characters. Pinky was ok, but after 65 half hours of him being sooooooo stupid, it got on my nerves. I guess I should buy these just for a walk down memory lane…
