Kevin Lofton, Jackie ‘The Joke Man’ Martling, Rohit Sang, Lynn Shaw.
We had a full house in New York last week when one of our favorite directors, Kevin Lofton, was in with Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling, and partners Rohit Sang and Lynn Shaw. Many of you know Jackie from his stint on the Howard Stern FM radio show and are familiar with his adult comedy act. But, we discussed the team’s idea for an animated kids show.
Thanks for coming in folks. See you soon.
Patrick Connolly.

Patrick Connolly was a VP at Fox Kids when he worked with our colleague Kevin Kolde (who was VP/GM of Spumco) on The Ripping Friends. He stopped by our Burbank office at Nickelodeon to catch up yesterday. He filled us in on his program consulting at the Outfest and Sundance Film Festival, and his personal writing.
Great seeing you Patrick.
Debby Carman.

My friend Richard Lewis (no, not the comedian) brought by Debby Carman who showed me her wonderful pre-school characters and books.
Thanks Debby for kind permission to show your work.
Stuart Snyder cartoons!
Stuart Snyder was running Turner Broadcasting’s GameTap when he visited Frederator Studios the other day. Now word comes about his promotion to leading a new youth media unit for Turner Broadcast that will not only encompass Adult Swim and Cartoon Network, but Cartoonnetwork.com, AdultSwim.com, Toonami Jetstream, Cartoon Network Video, GameTap and broadband comedy network Super Deluxe. Yo Yo Stu!
Stu and I worked together in the 90s at Turner when I was running Hanna-Barbera and he ran the home entertainment unit. Since then he’s had stints running the circus, another wilder circus, and CInar. He’s a great guy, and I hope all our friends at Cartoon Net will enjoy their time with him.
Anttu Harlin from Character Business.
Why is this man smiling?
You’d be smiling too if you were visiting Frederator Studios offices in New York City. Anttu Harlin is a producer from Character Business in Finland who was in New York for one day (yesterday) and wanted to introduce himself and his studio.

Character Business was established by an advertising/marketing agency in Helsinki to create TV shows and feature film. Check out their showreel here.
Much thanks to Kay Wilson Stallings from Nick Jr for sending Anttu over.
Oh Yeah! Justin Simonich & Dagan Moriarty.
Justin Simonich was in our New York office today again with his partner Dagan Moriarty with a new cartoon for Oh Yeah! Cartoons called Circus Folks. Justin’s currently writing at USA Networks and Dagan is drawing at Animation Collective.
Thanks to Justin & Dagan for kind permission to post their cartoon artwork.
Eileen Brennan. Oh Yeah!
We met Eileen Brennan during the dot com boom when she was part of a flash animation studio in Scranton, Pennsylvania and then again at our New York office again when she relocated with her very cool band. She’s also a wonderful painter. Eileen has written a few scripts for our show (created by Bob Boyle) Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and had a cartoon in the very first episode of Channel Frederator.
Today she showed us one of her unique creations –Pilot CoPilot– for Oh Yeah! Cartoons.
Thanks to Eileen for kind permission to post a drawing from her cartoon.
Lee Corey. Oh Yeah!
Lee Corey was by our New York office to pitch his short called Loyd & Floyd. Lee’s studio has lately been concentrating on animated content for mobile phones. He was his usual friendly self, and I must give him personal thanks for his patience in letting my 10 year old son sit through his pitch and give target audience notes.
Thanks to Lee for his kind permission to post some of his storyboard.
Oh Yeah! Manny Galan & Alan Goodman.

They’re moving in for number 2.
Manny & Alan aren’t the first and they won’t be the last of this season’s creators to try for a second short. Yesterday they came by with the unique sci-fi comedy Dogstar.
Everyone better hurry, we’re down to the wire.
