Here’s an “out take” from when I was working on robot designs for the Frederator awards show program. I had a lot of fun drawing robots and got inspiration from “Robots, Tin Toy Dreams” by Terusia Kitahara.

Hey, Joey. Thanks for joining the Fred blogs. I can’t think of anyone whose art is more instantly recognizable. Really nice job, as always.
Thanks for the warm welcome. It took me a while to get started but I finally took the plunge!
It’s almost R2D2!It would be cool to see the Joey Ahlbum version of Star Wars.-JX!
That’s funny I was thinking of getting the new Star Wars stamps and doing my version of them.
Does anyone remember Sam the Robot from Sesame Street? Now that would be a cool robot to see in Joey’s style.
Doesn’t ring a bell with me. Was it from the early years?
