NYC Indy Animation Legend: M. Henry Jones
I ran into my old friend M. Henry Jones yesterday. We were both getting our morning coffee after completing drop off duty. You can see Henry’s work at snakemonkey.tv including his ground breaking film, “Soul City”. He’s got a opening/screening this weekend at the Jonathan Shorr Gallery. Meet The Gunks!
The gunks was a live action show about an all girl rock group developed by the dynamic duo of Kathy Minton and Marc Catapano. My part was going to be animated wipes and bumpers. I was going for a look inspired by those old Beatles cartoons.

Jerry Beck Spotted In NYC!
It was great to catch up with Jerry Beck at the art opening for the multi talented animator/painter Pat Smith at the CVZ gallery. Jerry was in town on his way to the Ottawa Animation Festival. There was a good crowd of animation people at the gallery and a good time was had by all.

Here’s the final postcard from my set of three “Country Cassix” (posted out of order). Ida Red is the name of a song but it got me thinking about all the great ladies of country music. From Mother Mabel to Patsy Cline, from Loretta Lyn to Dolly Parton, from Patsy Montana to Tammy Wynette, the list goes on and on. Got a favorite female country singer?
Livestock In Woodstock!
We met this fellow this summer at The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. If you go, you can pet cows, chickens, goats and pigs, and if you take the tour (or visit the web site) you’ll probably never eat veal again.
