So anyway, one completely useless piece of trivia: When I moved to New York City I was 17 and lived in a dive, a residence hotel called the Henry Hudson on 57th Street (now the ultra-hipster Hudson), where my neighbors were hookers, addicts, and old folk. So one day my roomate and I were unlocking our door when a big, hulking black guy comes up behind us. After the initial shock we got another when it was clear it was Buddy Miles. He was looking to cop, and when it was clear the two skinny suburbanites couldn't help, he disappeared into his room never to be spotted again. Miles, I guess you have to like “Miles” of the world.
