Luke….I am your director…..

I think Mark Hamil is recording this week. Above is the director character he’s going to play. This character is a prima donna director with a short fuse. Things don’t go so well for him at the end. Not that I have anything against directors……

Full fledged character design begins today. Ernie Gilbert, an incredible artist who is Art Director of Fairly Odd Parents is going to be art directing Krunch & the Kid. Cool, huh?

The Network has spoken!!!

Please note above the Network suggested revision.

Here I thought my storyboard was perfect and along come more notes. Lucky for me they were good notes and I made some changes.

But the mere suggestion that my work isn’t perfect????………..

Waiting, waiting, waiting

Storyboard finished. Waiting to hear from Network. I hope they’re kind. Character models and Background layout starts soon. Lining up voices for record.

Oh, and in case you were wondering. Yes, this is the best job on earth.

Well, I just finished my last pass on the storyboard before Nickelodeon sees it. I hope they’re kind.

Friday was an awesome day. I got to hear all these amazingly talented voice actors take my mediocre dialogue and make it sing. Wow! Two amazing actors are going to do 3 voices each and then it looks like Mark Hamill is doing one and my sister-in-law the last one. That was easy, huh!

A cool shot

Here’s a cool shot of when Krunch & the Kid have to flush away Krunch’s frog, Hoppy. The Kid then plays a mournful harmonica solo as we slowly truck in…

I had my voice casting meeting yesterday. I asked for Mark Hamil for one of the characters. I’m crossing my fingers.

This place rocks!

Wow, what a weekend! The Nickelodeon summer party happened on Saturday. The theme was a Renaissance Faire. It was so authentic!! They had slushies and funnel cakes and popcorn just like they did during the Renaissance. It was great!

You know it’s a fact that Michaelangelo had his own slushie machine in his art studio. Leonardo Da Vinci designed it. True!!

Anyway, the highlight of the day was my wife, Martine and my daughter Lily winning the egg toss contest! A true miracle!

On Krunch & the Kid front I’m meeting with casting this week to start picking the voices for my short. I really want Brad Garret of Everybody loves Raymond (the brother) for Krunch. We’ll see…
