Above is a CD of my rough mix of voices for Krunch&the Kid. It was great fun. I got to sit for a few hours with an editor (Thanks Mike Petak!) and pick all the versions of the voice recordings that I thought worked best. And then Mike made this cool label for it that I want to frame! He’s a label master!

More BG’s from the land beyond!

September 21st, 2005

The original BG above was the only one I found needed a little push. It seemed a bit dull. Soooooo

Jim Worthy of Fairly Odd Parents fame has started doing Background layout on the show. He came in on the weekend and whipped out some awesome stuff. Here’s one of the entrance to Funny Bros. Pictures where Krunch & the Kid do their live show within a show, The Wham!Bam!Pow! Action Hour! with Krunch & the Kid!

I can’t wait to see more. The vision is becoming a reality!!!

I thought that sounded too cliche so I asked him if he had a working class accent. He did. Apparently Star Wars was shot in England and all the crew was working class Brits and he’s had that accent ever since. So he did a pass with that voice and it really worked. Very funny.

Now it’s on to the record [Read more…]

If a Tree Falls in a Sound Booth Will it Make a Sound?

I recorded 7 voices this week for Krunch & the Kid. My wife made strawberry Cheesecake and we all laughed and ate. It was great! Here are my bad caricatures of the voice talent…

Kevin Michael Richardson is Krunch, the monster. He’s mostly done villains so doing a weepy, unstable 500lb monster was a nice change for him, I think. He also did the Rasta-guy and the announcer.
