Meanwhile, in the Geek World
Kyle + Rosemary is coming along very nicely over at Synergy Animation, and I promise that I will post some new images soon. I also promise to update the ‘official’ website that I made.
Meanwhile, I’ve up and created two new pieces of Machinima. These are currently entries in a contest over at Xfire, and you do have to download their client in order to view them (contest rules, I’m afraid), but it is free.
Did anyone catch that South Park episode that was made in conjunction with Blizzard/World of Warcraft? I ROFL’d! I was also a tiny bit peeved because they were depicting a similar concept to Kyle + Rosemary. But ultimately, it’s a good thing for everyone like me who likes to create films in/about the gaming community - it’s bringing these worlds into the mainstream consciousness.

I saw that one! Cartman’s mom with the bedpan is unfortunately what sticks out in my memory, though. Eeeewwwww…….

haha that episode was great, dont be peeved tho, if u were u would have to be peeved at every show that mentions or pokes fun of or is based on mmo , dot.hack for example. i wouldn’t worry those southpark guys poke fun at EVERYTHING so it’s hard to stay in a realm outside of thier reach.

It’s not that I don’t like that they ragged on the gaming community, I thought that was great! It’s that they have their characters playing the game, and show them inside the actual game, which is a smiliar idea to my cartoon. I’m really just peeved that I wasn’t first on-air to do it!! =)
