Hulkey Pokey!? The heck!?

February 17th, 2008

toyfair-hulk.jpg

Ok, I’m pretty sure that in Hulk’s language, the Hulkey pokey is probably something inappropriate….

Anyway, the gang over at TFW2005 boards has put a bunch of Toy Fair images up - here’s their gallery of new Hulk and Iron Man movie figures. They’re looking pretty cool, and it looks like the Hulk figures all come with little articulated military guys for Hulk to SMASH!! Check em out HERE!

Now, go open your figures before the Hulk does the Pokey!!

Keep watching for new pics as they show up - and get to opening those figures while you wait - I know all the twistie ties can be rough, but you can do it!

Robo Elmo

February 16th, 2008

This is amazing and a little bit scary at the same time. I’m sure kids will love it, but it’s range of motion is a bit startling.

I’m not sure what would happen if they became self aware.

Watch for the new Elmo from Fisher Price, coming October 14 for approx $59.99.

Hey gang! Toy Fair is almost here - I always enjoy this time of year!

Here’s a site for checking out the Fair as it’s going on - HERE
The guys over at Figures.com always do a sweet job of takin pictures of everything they’re allowed to. They divide it all up based on the company and series so it’s nice and easy to see the new figures! I’ll be looking for the new Transformers and G.I. Joe stuff personally - probably even commenting on them here - imagine that!

All righty - enjoy the fair, and go open your toys!

Here’s a follow-up to Floyd’s post earlier. Apparently, tomorrow, the 15th, Hasbro is going to reveal the images of monster toy. So any of you who were interested in seeing what it was going to look like, just tune in tomorrow!!

And as always - if you’ve got any in package - set em free!!

Kickin Shell again!

February 14th, 2008

The turtles are back, just as they were, but like they’ve never been before!
Finally some incredible Ninja Turtle figures done in their original art style - check it out;
Turtles on the half-shell!

These guys were sculpted by the amazing Four Horsemen. In case you haven’t heard of them, you’ve surely seen their work. They did the incredible recent re-design of the Masters of the Universe toys. They’ve recently been working on the cool Batman figures. I’ll probably chat more about them later - they’re the tops in what they do and really great guys to chat with! (you can find them at the various comic conventions, etc) Check out their site HERE

Sweet figures, and remember, they’re even better out of their packages!!

The Toy Fair is coming!!!

February 13th, 2008

One of the single coolest conventions/ shows starts this weekend: Toy Fair!! Someday, I must answer the call of the wild and venture to the east coast and see this amazing sight! I’ll be sure to post some info from the fair this weekend - after all, I’m sure I’ll be glued to the web to get glimpses of all the new stuff that will caue my wallet much suffering over the next year.

Of particular interest to me is the new line of Transformers Animated figures. From what I’ve seen so far, the toys look spot on to their cartoon likeness and still manage to transform! They’ve got some friggin genius monkeys working at Hasbro! (Thanks Aaron Archer and crew!)

When you care to send the very best…

February 12th, 2008

Hey gang!

Sorry for the slow blog - kinda crazy in my life right now - moe on that later…

ANYWAY, I was just thinking, Valentine’s Day coming up and all, don’t forget the power of toys as a great gift! Sure, store bought toys can be wonderful gifts, but if you really want to lift someone’s spirits, why not make one yourself? Heck, it doesn’t have to be a holiday, maybe you just want to give them a good laugh or let them know they mean something to you!

About a year or so ago, one of my best pals ended up having surgery on his neck - from an injury he suffered several years prior. He got some sort of replacement parts in his spine - all titanium experimental stuff. So, while he was out on recovery leave I decided he needed a good welcome back gift - an action figure [Read more…]

So, we’re finally gettin a live action GIJoe movie….next summer! So, we’re bound to get a mountain of toys from it….hmm, probably no less than six different Snake Eyes in the first wave.

BUT, here’s the first group to announce they got the license to make some cool stuff from the Joe team…

GIJoe movie toy teaser
Just a fun little clip they put together, but makes me wonder…will the Joe’s have real military fatigues or still get their cool costumes? I certainly they get their costumes. I mean, the crazy costumes were half the fun, ya know!?

And knowing’s half the battle!

GI Joooooooeee!!
