Matte Plastic

So, I picked up the snap-on armor version of Iron Man and his Mark01 suit. Both figures are pretty cool. They got fewer joints than the Marvel Legends figures - that might be to make them more kid friendly? The sculpts are nice on them, and the paint apps are good on the two I got (although I usually compare several in store before I buy them) I can’t really say the Tony Stark sculpt looks terribly similar to Robert Downey Jr, but he definitely looks like “Stark”. The packaging is typical packaging and looks nice. They added a nice touch to the card inserts - the inside of the package looks like the internal side of the armor, so that’s a nifty little addition. I apologize for not having pictures of the guys I bought, but my wife has been finishing the yearbook for our daughter’s school - so the digital camera is off limits until that’s done. Hmmm, I think I need to just purchase one for this blog? But, I found this link to a nice review of all the first wave of figures - check it out!
