Yeah, he was a ghost the whole time. The thing is, he was sketched rather quickly and on a post it and it was kind of hard for anyone to make out what he was so they mistakenly identified him as a scallion. I live your tighter version. I didn't think anyone was using him for their segments so I was happy I was going to be able to tigheten him up....alas....too late! Nice drawing though.

The truth is, he'll probably look a bit different than this when he's turned into 3D. I love your art style in "Bronk & Bongo". It would be cool to see these guys like that. Are you still going to work with him?

Thanks for the compliment. Yes we are planning on working with him, even though I've heard GAILARD has a real primadonna attitude. Alan and I sat around and looked at all the characters and I was excited to find out that pretty much no one had picked GAILARD. I like your more "Fleshed" out version. I have to admist I've come into this project very late so I'm still trying to figure out a lot of things.

I'm glad you like it. J Chad Erekson took some liberties with the character's face especially, and we cringed a bit when J Chad explained how his hands are supposed to work (like big sleeves). We're trying to work in some ghosty type stuff for him to do in our little segment. As we flesh out more of the story of our segment, I'll be sure to update the blog. I can't wait to see some stuff from some of the other "Six Monsters" artists!

We thought he was supposed to be a scallion, but we misunderstood. It makes way more sense with him being a ghost, as a ghost is a recognized monster.

I guess a giant walking/talking scallion would qualify as a monster though as well.
