Body Rig first pass

So here’s our first pass at Buck’s body rig. We still have to fix his crotch area. Chris Boylan did a decent job. I’d write more, but we have to catch a plane to LA.

Keep in mind that this is just the body rig, and that the facial rig is not complete yet (he’s also missing his hat). I’m glad you guys like what you see so far!

Very cool Floyd! I love it! I know I’ve said it before but I can’t wait to see it moving.
Does it have Stretchy IK? Are you using Belndshapes to deform the geometry or mel scripting and influences? Anyway, I really like it.

 

There’s all kinds of rigging magic going on with this guy. Stretchy IK, wire deformers, blend shapes, voo doo, etc. Chris can explain it better than me. I’ll see if I can get him to post.

 

Wow! Can you fix my crotch area? I have some weird polygonal issues going on down there too. Some nerds have confused it for 8 sided dice! But that’s a story for another day. Nice work.

As usual! The bar is being raised on this 6 Monsters project!

 

this is basically the first time i have rigged a character like this, it was an incredible challenge and the results are quite pleasing. basically this is a layered system, very simple and very fast i started out with a base rig for deformations then started layering systems on top of it the result is what you see before you.
