I'm glad you like it. Yes, it's Don Knotts.

Hey this looks like a different animation from the first one you showed. The ears is not doing the secondary dynamics. Is this one of the rig glitches? I also see that the left hand is doing some wierd gimble lock or inversions. Are you guys key framing this or is the computer generating the in between? I hope the rig gets fixed so you can start animating properly.
I always had these problems when I was in school, but I am sure in the end you will fix it up.
This is the best animation I've ever seen, even better than Pixar.

the ears are keyframed no dynamics neccessary. theres no gimble lock or inversions on the left hand just the way that he posed it and the geometry that needs to be revised to account more for the deformations. since this is still in the development phase there are also no helper shapes or influence objects of any kind as well. the movement of the hands in particular looks slightly floaty but that is a result of a control i stripped out to revise the model in an earlier rigging pass. the head will be brought down and forward in future tests to keep buck on model. i assure you it will all be reconnected once i make final revisions to the model either today or after siggraph. look forward to it till then!

Thanks for the compliment on the animation. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it though, as it's just a rig test. The real animation doesn't begin for a while yet, as we need to finalize the rigs first.

I also forgot to add that we are keyframing everything. There is no mo-cap or anything like that involved.
