MooBeard’s director and creator of The Finster Finster Show , Jeff De Grandis, is out sick with pnumonia today, so I thought I’d do him some get-well-soon art. Feel better, Jeffy!

It just occurred to me that Warner Bros. still owns the rights to the Baby Finster character who appeared with Bugs Bunny several times. Baby Finster probably doesn’t get played on TV much because of the spanking scenes, but the bald face and name Finster are too similar to pass without a few questions.

You’ll want to try Jeff’s blog for this inquirt. Finster Finster is his cartoon. Either way http://telemaniac.free.fr/baby_face1.jpg other than being bald, there’s not much similarity. There’s even less similarity when Jeff draws them.

One of the cartoons with Baby Finster was titled, “Baby Buggy Bunny”. (1954)

Hey Sam Van Span…..
Be careful not to play with the dirty money!!!!!
Directed by Chuck Jones and written by Michael Maltese in 1954.
As a matter of fact, Chuck Jones was my mentor and liked the Finsters in “Store Wars” in 1983. “Good story and funny characters!” he said.

The two characters look different with the baby clothing, but at at the beginning of the old Finster cartoon, the character was probably wearing adult clothes. He only pretended to be a baby. I wish I could find some more images. The use of the name alone might be enough to get the lawyers worked up, if anyone at WB is paying attention. Fortunately most lawyers don’t spend time watching cartoons.

Like I said, not my cartoon.
By the way, you might want to look out for Hormel’s lawyers, Mr Von Spam.

Actually, the Finsters are related to Frederick Wolfgang Finster. Born in 1829 and not related to Howard Finster, Man of Vision. Not saying the Finster’s don’t have a vision, because they do. The Finsters have a wide scope of life itself and are true visionaries in their own right. George and Mary Finster was Frederick’s mom and dad. Thanks. Finster F. Finster Jr. Esq.

It’s not my job to tell the guy either. Thankfully, I’m content to remain an amused bystander.
