I did that for one line, but really it was too big of a problem to be fixed with just a little extra speed. Stuff really needed to be cut. I think it’s a tighter cartoon for it.

I very often have to cut bits of time out of things. One trick I use is to speed up the recording by 7%. It’s small enough that it’s not very noticeable to the end audience (especially if you do a time-stretch only and not a pitch shift - it just ups the pace), but it’s enough to have significant return.

For a piece that runs 8:30, stretching the time down to 93% gives you 7:57. A savings of 33 seconds that does not sacrifice any content!
