Samsquatch

frame 352

“I think Bigfoot is blurry, that’s the problem. It’s not the photographer’s fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that’s extra scary to me, because there’s a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.”

Does he exist? Is he an ape or just a scraggly hermit? Most importantly, is his name Sam or is Samsquatch just his species? . . . these are the questions I’m afraid to think about. I’m working on finishing the boards this week. This image is intended for cryptozoological debate and low-budget tabloids. The actual cartoon will look much much better thanks to the crackerjack crew we’ve got lined up. Yes, Samsquatch is real. And he likes his coffee black.

Thanks, sis. Stephen, to answer your question this short will be animated traditionally not flashily. I’m aiming for something different with the BGs but it likely won’t be quite like this.

Couldn’t be prouder of you!

Man! I LOVe that bg dude! that looks awesome! I agree with Manny that it is unique and fresh. I also really like the lokm of your character and having been accused by my wife of having becoming a sasquatch the older I get, I also love Bigfoots, er Bigfeet, um Bigfeeteses. Yetis.

I have to say that bckground is beautiful. Is this how you imagine the Bg’s looking in your short? Would be quite different than anything else. By the way, I’m a huge, big foot fan and have done several short spots on the character myself here at NIckelodeon. Thought I’d share my obession with you.

Is your short going to be traditionally, or flash animated?

Very, very cool! And cool sketch! I like my coffee decaff and hazulnut. Oh and with that coffeemate stuff, creme brule flavor :D. Your characters look very cool! Cant wait to see your show! -Steve http://www.stephenstudios.com

That sepia background is lovely! Oh dear, but you’ve rendered a fine little dude there, I can’t wait to see him bounce about the woodlands in his shortpants! Fantastikisimo!

It’s slang. Granted, it’s slang from the turn of the century. But it’s hard to keep up with the parlance of our times. I meant only that they’re all very talented people with very sound minds. So stay tuned … it’ll be a real humdinger.

“Crackerjack Crew”?? Does this mean each member has a toy inside or that they all live in a small box together and are a little nutty? Either way I’m a sucker for new cartoons.

This looks fantastic! A great idea with terrific design!

This is so exciting!! Can’t wait to see the final results! Just picture Mark and me sitting in front of the TV cheering you on!

Totally sweet. We always knew great things would come from the great Mutato.
