A Room With A View…
As we approach the end of February, my office is approaching capacity. But in a good way. We have been taking between 4-6 pitches a day now for about three weeks, plus we have a ton of mail in submissions that need to be looked over. All in all, it’s an extremely busy time at Frederator Studios.
So far, 12 shows have shipped out for animation, the most recent additions being Tiffany and Teapot. The Infinite Goliath is being animated in Flash at Renegade Animation. Our Production Coordinator, MacGreggor Middleton, let me know that just because a show is being animated in Flash doesn’t necessarily mean it’s quicker or easier than shipping elements to an overseas studio. Backgrounds, props, and characters all still need to be designed and tweaked before any animation can begin.
Here’s our Production Assistant, Eric Cookmeyer, entertaining me as I annoyingly snap his picture at the scanning station. Our production team is comprised of some of the hardest workers I’ve ever encountered.
And finally, I couldn’t resist including this pic of myself andAnne Walker as we struck a pose at Big Foot Lodge a couple of weeks ago. Even an intense production schedule can’t keep us from lovin’ Smokey. Remember kids, only YOU can help prevent forrest fires.

Melissa……
The monumental amount of work done in looking at new material and taking in all these pitches is unbelievable.
I thank you all for the time and wonderful creative input spent on all of us.
You’re a great room to pitch to and great to work with. I look forward to more fun!
Take care. Your Cartoon Pals…… Jeff and the Finster Boys

Jeff, your enthusiasm has been great. You bring new meaning to the word “board”

Smokey the Bear is totally hot. Especially with the fiberglass shovel and yellow hat.

Hey Melissa…Yikes! I suppose my script is under there… somewhere…
“Mmmphmm…mmmphpmhpmmmphh…!!!”
Oh, no! Listen, the poor thing is being squished!
BTW, I understand the attraction to a bear in uniform, but underneath that hat he’s just an animal–he’ll only hurt you. Unlike a loveable sheep I know, who likes to cuddle and really likes you for you.
