Straight from Korea and straight down the hall, I want to wish a warm welcome to Jun Kyo Seo, Kong Yo Kang, and Random! Cartoons very own Larry Huber as they *officially* embark on their short, “Bitboy”. The short’s got action, adventure, and, of course, a man going undercover…as a dog.

A while back, Larry Huber went to Korea to scout out talented filmmakers eager to get a short on the air. What he came back with was the beginnings of a great idea, written and storyboarded by two very talented Korean guys named Jun Kyo Seo and Kong Yo Kang. Larry worked with them to make the short ring true to an American audience, and “Bitboy” was born.

For those of you who don’t know Larry Huber, you should introduce yourself. His credits would take up a couple of pages on this blog entry. Larry was the creator of a previous Oh Yeah! Cartoon called “Chalk Zone” which he created with Bill Burnett which was picked up for 40 episodes on Nickelodeon. He has worked in animation long enough to be able to rightfully ask it, “Who’s your Daddy?”.

Up until Larry’s “Bitboy” pitch, I had been used to him giving lots of feedback to other creators on their pitches. He has provided such a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Random! Cartoons pitch process from the Executive Producer angle that it was equally as rewarding to watch as he put on his own creative cap and pitched to us. He was at our mercy. And that, my friends, is a rare vision.

Congrats to the Bitboys!

Larry just gets a short because he’s apart of the company.

Now THAT was a stupid thing to say…
Larry got a short because he paid his dues. He’s been instrumental in dozens of people’s careers ove the years and helped get a lot of hit shows on the air. Dexter’s Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Cow and Chicken, I Was Teenage Robot, Fairly Odd Parents as well as creating his own Chalk Zone. there are porbalb ymore than that which I don’t know about. That’s an ignorant statement and you are clearly jealous. Instead of knocking someone else’s achievements why don’t you just come up with your own idea and pitch it so you won’t have to be jealous anymore?

Thanks for your insightful commentary…”Anonymous”! Is that your real name? Perhaps your lack of self esteem and cowardly self loathing prevents you from telling us who you really are. Or maybe it’s your improper use of the word “apart” that made you withhold your identity. At any rate, I’m sure you’re a HUGE success somewhere out there in the universe. Keep up the great “work”.

I think Larry got a short because he and his partners have a great idea! -Steve http://stephenstudios.blogspot.com

I think it was GLOOMY who wrote this….! That ignorant B*TCH! Larry’s been attached to more of my favorite cartoons that anyone else I know…I geeked out when I first spoke to him and…gulp…told him how much I enjoyed his take on SECRET SQUIRREL in the 90’s.

Dear Anonymous, If only it were so, Larry would have a *lot* more cartoons on the air. Please take a chill pill.

Jun, Kong, and Larry, welcome to our shop. We’re proud and honored to have you contributing to our show.
